4. Specific Phobias:
Characteristics : Intense fear of a specific object or situation, such as heights, spiders, or air travel.
Symptoms : Excessive anxiety and avoidance of the feared object or situation, palpitations, sweating, and panic attacks.
5. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD):
Characteristics : Obsessions (repeated, intrusive thoughts) and compulsions (compulsive behaviors) that disrupt daily activities.
Symptoms : Repetitive actions such as washing hands, checking if doors are locked, or counting.
6. Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Characteristics : Develops after exposure to a traumatic event.
Symptoms : Re-experiencing the trauma, nightmares, avoidance of memories of the event, heightened vigilance and irritability.
